MEET WITH THE LIS FACULTY AND OFFICIALWe met with LIS faculty and officials throughout this activity. We were also introduced to a supervisor who would accompany us on our activities as teaching interns. Then, we went over the explanation and timeline of teaching intern activities.

PREPARATION IN TEACHING GRADE 4 (Possessive Pronouns)We discussed lesson plan, powerpoint, and did a dry run before teaching in real life with the help of teacher Ann Mariz. Teacher Mariz is very friendly and patient with me because this is my first time teaching in here and I need to adapt first, she also taught me some Tagalog words.

PREPARATION IN TEACHING GRADE 5 (Series of Adjectives)Teacher Monica and I had a discussion about lesson plans and also had rehearsal before conducting teaching activities in grade 5. During rehearsal, there was a signal problem, but everything went fine.

PREPARATION IN TEACHING GRADE 4 (Verbs)This is our discussion before teaching grade 4 for the second time. Before doing the actual teaching, the preparation consisted of discussing lesson plans, power points, and dry runs, as is usual. Preparing to teach fourth grade with teacher Sandralyn was a lot of fun, and she even taught me some Tagalog words.

PREPARATION IN TEACHING GRADE 6 (Prepositions and Prepositional Phrase)I created the lesson plan and ppt from scratch. Everything became easier with the help of my co-buddies, teacher Ellyza and teacher Angelic. They help me in giving feedback and revising my lesson plan and ppt before submitting it to Ma'am Hazel.

MEET AND GREETThis meet and greet was our first meet with the teachers from PSU. This activity included a meeting of Tidar University students and PSU students who teach English in grades 4, 5, and 6.

2022 TEACHING INTERNS MID-CONFERENCEEvery PSU student, as well as students from Indonesia, participated in this conference activity, which discussed teaching intern activities at PSU.

OBSERVATIONWe were given the opportunity to observe grade 4 throughout this activity. We observed how the class was going and how the student teacher was handling the situation. Teacher Divine happened to be teaching at the time we were there to observe.

TEACHING GRADE 4 (Possessive Pronouns)On April 19, 2022, I and teacher Mariz did our demo teaching Grade 4 with the topic about possessive pronouns. This was my very first time teaching here, I felt nervous at that time but thankfully everything went smoothly, and grade 4 is also enthusiastic. Teaching grade 4 was a lot of fun since they were really active in class.

TEACHING GRADE 5 (Series of Adjectives)Thursday, April 28, 2022, was the date of the 5th-grade teaching activity with teacher Monica. Teaching in the fifth grade has its own set of challenges because students in the fifth grade are rather shy, therefore we as teachers must be able to come up with strategies to encourage students to be more involved.

TEACHING GRADE 4 (Verbs)This is my second time teaching fourth grade. On May 17, 2022, this teaching and learning activities happened. Grade 4 students, as usual, are intensely involved in the learning and compete with one another in answering questions presented by the teachers. It was super fun when teacher grade 4.

TEACHING GRADE 6 (Prepositions and Prepositional Phrase)Teaching sixth grade on May 18, 2022, may be considered my grand demonstration. I'm nervous and worried about making a mistake, yet reality much exceeds my expectations. Students in grade 6 were highly excited about teaching and learning activities; they were very active and frequently raised their hands to give examples or answer questions that I asked.
